For the second consecutive year, the city if Segovia has collaborated with the European Christmas Exchange organized by Europe Direct Llangollen (Wales). On this occasion it was CEIP Fray Juan de la Cruz (Aneja), in charge of preparing Christmas material and that Friday the 21st of November there had been sent to other 32 school centers from 12 countries of the European Union: Czech Republic, France, Lithonia, United Kingdom, Italy, Malta, Romania, Ireland, Belgium, Poland, Germany and Bulgaria.
CEIP Fray Juan de la Cruz has involved its students, teachers and Directive team, elaborating numerous decorations and creating a DVD putting together the history of Segovia and its monuments, music, traditions, customs, preparation of the Exchange, etc. In the packages sent includes various cards created by the children, decorations for the children, decorations for the Christmas tree created with plastic Champaign glasses, clips, pipe cleaners, poster board, etc.
On December 17th the Mayor of Segovia, Dª Clara Isabel Luquero de Nicolás and D. Javier Giráldez, Counselor of Employment, Development and Technology, will go to CEIP to see the jobs that were completed and the Christmas tree that the Center will display with all of the decorations received by the other European Centers.
